I would say you understood quite a lot from your examples of solitude, etc. I think the trick is in not expecting to &quot;understand&quot; it in the conventional sense of how we understand a story. Your idea of the novel being like a series of photos is a good way to put it, the different scene changes being rather like viewing a set of movie stills. Good post.</description>
